He Said She Said “My Point of View”

By

Maurine gave her point of view last week about the parking lot, now here’s mine. I have a  strategy when we go shopping, I don’t park close because we are going to walk so much in the store anyway. Here is the real method to my madness, I am strategizing how to get out of the parking lot the quickest.  I park where there is no cross walks or stop signs because that will take up unnecessary time waiting to get out of the parking lot.  I also check out traffic flow, will it be hard to get out or can I just make my move?

I guess you can say I focus on the departure rather than the arrival or the shopping experience. I really dislike spending a lot of time shopping. I know what I want, so I pick it up and go. When shopping for clothes, I shop off of the displays, because I have no fashion sense.  When I look nice it is because Maurine picked out my clothes.  I rarely try on anything at the store unless Maurine makes me. I will say I will try it on at home and more than likely  it doesn’t fit.  Maurine tries on everything, she take clothes in and comes out with nothing because none of them fit correctly. Maurine loves to shop, she doesn’t buy much because she takes care of everyone else before herself.

You two crack me up! I think I tend to think more like you, Rodney. I spend little time at the store and I park where I’ll end up last and usually farther out, simply because I don’t trust other cars :) Go in with a plan as to what I need and come out quickly. Works just splendid!

People tell me sometimes, “You sure do think a lot.” I think that really means, “You think too much.” I take it as a compliment. I think you should, too.

I park far away usually – next to a planter or other divider – but the reason is that a few years back (or 20) I got tired of people opening their car doors into mine (leaving dents or marks on the sides of my cars). Especially in the Oklahoma wind, I don’t want unnecessary bumps in my investment which needs to last our family another 5 years minimum (I’m only at 120,000)! :-)

120,000 miles – I hope that was understood though – thought I would clarify just in case….
